FAQ: When did the cult house legend start?
Answer: We are not sure exactly when the legend began, but from the different interviews we've done we know it is at least been around for 30 years.
FAQ: Is Cossart Road in Delaware or Chadds Ford?
Answer: Neither. Cossart Road is actually in Pennsbury Township, Chester County. Despite popular opinion and belief, Cossart Road does not cross into Delaware at all. Also, Cossart Road is officially in Pennsbury Township, though Chadds Ford does neighbor it.
FAQ: Is Cossart Road A Private Road?
Answer: No. Cossart Road was made private back in 2000 and again in 2003 because of the constant trespassing, vandalism and late night traffic. Today, the road is public again but heavily patrolled by state police.
FAQ: Is their a security force that patrols Cossart Road?
Answer: Not officially. Pennsbury Township does not employ any private or public Security force to chase or follow people off the road in black or white broncos or red pickup trucks. It is true, however, that some local residents have in the past hired security to patrol their property and scare off any tresspassers. This is one of the reasons for many of the 'chase' stories. The other main reason for chases are other teen thrill seekers. Many, if not all, chases that occur along cossart road now are the result of teens scaring other teens trying to keep the legend alive.
FAQ: Do the trees on cossart really lean?
Answer: Not anymore. The trees along cossart road did lean for years at a very sharp angle. This oddity was caused by two things, PECO and the hills along cossart road. The trees grew at a sharp angle out of the ground because many of them were growing on a hill. Also, PECO performs regular maintenance along Cossart Road to keep the trees from growing into the power lines. Today, many of these 'leaning' trees have been cut down and few still stand.
FAQ: What exactly is in your documentary?
Answer: Our documentary is an amateur film showing all of the evidence and such that we have gathered about the cult house legend. It shows day and night footage of Cossart Road and the infamous "Skull Tree", interviews with different people about their thoughts on the legend, it gives a bit of a background on the legend and also an interview with the Pennsbury Township roadmaster who answers many questions pertaining to the legend. We also show a very short clip of the house that has been for many years mistaken to be a cult house.
FAQ: I heard the 'skull/baby' tree was cut down, is this true?
Answer: Yes, it's true. The tree was removed in July 2010 by the township to try and sway teens and thrill seekers from visiting the area.
FAQ: Is there a cult or cult house along Cossart Road?
Answer: No, it is of our opinion that there is no satanic cult or cult house along Cossart road. For all of the evidence as to why we have come to this conclusion, we ask that you purchase the documentary
